Reno-Tahoe Intl. - 64bit Pro
A. AIRPORT BACKGROUND
Reno–Tahoe International Airport (IATA: RNO, ICAO: KRNO, FAA LID: RNO) is a public and military use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) southeast of downtown Reno, in Washoe County, Nevada. It is the State's second busiest commercial airport after McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. The Nevada Air National Guard has the 152nd Airlift Wing southwest of the airport's main terminal. It is named after Jesse L. Reno and Lake Tahoe.
The airport was built in 1929 by Boeing Transport Inc. and named Hubbard Field after Boeing Air Transport VP and air transport pioneer Eddie Hubbard. It was acquired by United Airlines in 1936 and purchased by the City of Reno in 1953.
The airport covers an area of 1,450 acres (587 ha) at an elevation of 4,415 feet (1,346 m) above mean sea level. For the 12-month period ending June 30, 2012, the airport had 82,787 aircraft operations, an average of 226 per day.
It has three runways with concrete surfaces: 16R/34L is 11,002 by 150 feet (3,353 x 46 m); 16L/34R is 9,000 by 150 feet (2,743 x 46 m); 7/25 is 6,102 by 150 feet (1,860 x 46 m).[1] In the fall of 2010, the airport opened a new 200-foot (61-meter) ATCT to replace the 70-foot (21-meter) control tower that had been used for more than 50 years.
Reno–Tahoe International Airport provides two concourses designated B and C with an overall 23 jet bridge gates.
Airlines serving Reno have around 140 flights daily to and from the airport, providing service to 15 cities non-stop and about 31 cities with a same plane one stop flight. Airlines servicing the airport to and from various destinations include, Air North (Vancouver), Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Allegiant Air, Delta Airlines, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines and Volaris (Guadalajara). Freight airlines include Ameriflight, DHL, Fedex, and UPS

D. INSTALLING AND ACTIVATING THE KRNO PRODUCT
Installing and activating the KRNO product is straight forward. Simply run the installer and it will locate your P3DV4 location. It will ask for the product Key to activate product in P3DV4. Once installation process completes, the product should be fully functional within your P3DV4 sim platform. No need to manually activate the product in-sim.
The KRNO product data should be located in the following folder: (your P3DV4)\PacSim\Reno-Tahoe Intl\
Before using the product, there is one last thing to install which is an essential integral part of the KRNO product. You need to install and activate the SODE program. Read on below.
KRNO SODE Animated Jetway System and SODE version 1.6.5
The KRNO product comes with SODE supported fully animated jetway system. For the jetways to operate properly, it is essential to download the latest SODE vs 1.6.5 program here: http://sode.12bpilot.ch/?page_id=9
After downloading, run the application to install the latest SODE 1.6.5 in your system. The program should be Registered using the SODE Platform Manager for the P3DV4 sim platform. See User Guide here: http://sode.12bpilot.ch/?page_id=9
The User Guide is also in the Documents folder of (your P3DV4)\PacSim\Reno-Tahoe Intl\ folder.
E. RECOMMENDED SIM SETTINGS, TOOLS AND LIGHTING OPTIONS
Frame rates from scenery complexity and autogen settings were averaged at 30fps. This includes moving sliders 100% to the right. Lower settings yielded much higher frames, but our recommendation is Dense to Extreme Dense for exceptional rates. Since the scenery is 7/30cm/pixel photoreal, it is highly recommended that Mesh Resolution be set at 1 meter within P3D Display Settings (slider 100% to the right). Texture Resolution should also be set at 30cm and above (or slider 100% to the right).
Recommended AI Traffic settings: AI road traffic should be set at or below 25%. AI aircraft settings should be between 60 and 85%. Above 85% would be unrealistic immersion experience which would result in clogged up AI parking gates, and may lead to stutters and low FPS.
KRNO Scenery Configuration Tool
To gain/manage FPS or alternate between Summer and Winter textures at appropriate seasons, simply use the KRNO Scenery Configuration Tool located at (your P3DV4)\PacSim\Reno-Tahoe Intl\
Dynamic Lighting
Dynamic lighting works well at night with 2xSSAA setting, but will also work well at 4xSSAA depending on GPU. Dynamic lighting is also optional and can be checked/unchecked under the P3DV4 display setting in-sim.
F. THIRD PARTY COMPATIBILITY ISSUES.
There are no known issues with Orbx's FTX Vector files, resulting in unwanted duplications of KRNO custom/default vector files. However, if there are any FTX Vector files such as bridges appearing with (beneath or above) our custom bridges and roads, simply run the FTX Vector tool to exclude these offending vector files.
G. HOT FIXES AND UPDATES
Below is the link to 2 files that fixes the missing 34L ILS from the KRNO product.
krno_34l_ils.zip
Download and move them over to the following directory/folder and over-write the previous 2 versions when prompted to:

Issues that are P3Dv4-related, whether documented or undocumented are many, but we can only speak for our product. There are no micro-stutters or huge lag in fps as tested but it all depends on end-user system and how each individual sets up their settings in-sim. Overall, the product was overly Optimized to function with sliders maxed at 100% peak for those computers who can afford the high level scenery design. No technical issues were encountered during various beta tests, whether hardware or software-related. Instructions for installation of software are straightforward; however, venturing outside bounds of recommended installation and use is at sole discretion of End-User.
